Understanding Assessments…
Comprehensive Evaluations for Neuropsychological Concerns
We conduct thorough assessments for potential brain injuries, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders, as well as other psychological issues that may impact neurophysiological functioning, such as trauma, depression, or anxiety. To evaluate these concerns, clients are asked to complete a range of measures, including:
Verbal assessments
Written tests
Cognitive and physical puzzles
Computer-based tasks
The client's performance is then compared to age-based normative samples.
Once the testing battery is completed, clients meet with Dr. Stevens or Dr.Coben to review the results. Clients, along with their referral sources when relevant, receive a detailed report that includes:
A formal diagnosis
An overview of the client's strengths and limitations
An assessment of their level of functioning
Treatment recommendations
Implications for academic, workplace, or lifestyle adjustments

Our Services
Intake with our Neuropsychologist.
Our team is here to help you get started. After you call and we create your patient account, you'll receive access to our secure patient portal, where you can complete the required forms before your appointment. Completing these documents in advance helps ensure a smooth check-in process and allows the doctor to make the most of your visit. Your first appointment will be a one-hour intake consultation with the doctor.
Testing appointments
Following your initial intake, you will be scheduled for a comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluation that typically lasts about six hours. These evaluations are divided into sessions of 2 separate 3 hour appointments. Our goal is to create a comfortable and safe environment that allows us to utilize our precise, evidence-based research methods to provide a thorough assessment.
Feedback appointment to go over the results
After the Neuropsychological Assessment and Evaluation is finished, you will have a meeting with the doctor to discuss the findings. They will summarize the assessment and prepare a report for you to keep or share with a referring provider to support your ongoing treatment.
